Glamping, Elevated
The yurt is the largest and most unique accommodation at High Camp. It is a spacious, round structure with panoramic windows that fill the space with natural light and frame the mountain views from every angle. The open floor plan makes it feel bigger than you would expect.
Downstairs, a queen bed anchors the main living area. Upstairs in the loft, two full-size beds give your group extra sleeping space, with a cozy nook feel that kids and adults both love. A twin pullout provides a fifth sleeping spot when you need it. The yurt sleeps up to 5 guests total.
Climate control (A/C and heat) keeps you comfortable whatever the weather. A beverage station with microwave, coffee maker, and drinking water handles the basics. For bigger meals, a propane BBQ is available on request. The shared bathhouse with hot showers is just a short walk away, along with the communal fire pit, the shaded deck, and the 20-basket disc golf course.

What Guests Say About the Yurt
★★★★★"Beckwourth Peak High Camp was an amazing spot to stay for a bikepacking trip. Forest the host was awesome and made routes for us to optimize our trip. We rode from Truckee up to Portola on single track he routed us on and had an amazing time. We stayed in the yurt and it was clean, spacious, well stocked and super comfy! It was truly a bikepacking glamping experience."

★★★★★"The weekend we were there we went to the Graeagle 4th of July parade, fireworks show, and Civil War re-enactment. We also took a tour of the railroad museum in Portola and had the opportunity to take a train ride in a caboose. We really enjoyed our time, the yurt was very comfortable, the biking great, and the hosts very helpful! Even if biking isn't your thing, High Camp is perfect if you just want to get away from the daily grind but still have the convenience of a town just a few minutes away."
